Sallins Bypass (Update April 2014)

The Sallins bypass is at now advanced design stage and the consultation on the Motorway Order and CPOs recently commenced. Another project is under way in parallel to widen the M7 to three lanes from Johnstown as far as the M9 merge point half way between Naas and Newbridge.

The period for public consultation on the bypass has been slightly extended to mid April due to a technicality and it is likely that feedback on both of these projects will be considered at a joint An Bord Pleanala hearing later this year. This hearing will decide whether to grant the motorway order or whether to send the project back to design. I will be lobbying for both these projects to continue as soon as possible and you can see maps and full history of my coverage of this story here.
