I am urging residents to make their thoughts known to Kildare County Council, who are now taking submissions, on the new town centre including a park and playground in Prosperous. The playground which will be adjacent to a new 53 space car park will be located off the Main Road next to the Credit Union in the village.

From working with residents associations and from those attending my advice clinics in Christies I know how important this will be for residents in Prosperous. Following representations I am delighted to now confirm plans are being drawn up to deliver a new playground, park, and car parking spaces in Propserous. The playground in particular will be of immense benefit to young families and children.

The proposal by the council also includes outdoor exercise equipment and repairs to footpaths and some surrounding junctions in the village. All considered this will be very welcome news for Prosperous.

Residents can have their say on the design. Kildare County Council is taking submissions from members of the public.
