Naas Town Council recently announced plans to build a community centre at Monread. This was part of an older deal with the Queally Group and was planned to be one of the last acts of the outgoing Town Council. However the plans have not ran smoothly and three different sets of plans have been published for the centre in as many months. The site has also moved from the Monread Road (beside Healy’s Tyres) to a new proposed site on Maudlins Avenue (just past Gleann Na Riogh). I recently met with a group of local residents in relation to this and questions were posed as to the specific uses for the centre. Details of the current plans may be viewed at this link and the council are accepting public submissions on the proposals until the 25th April.
Good evening James. Now that the centre has been built would you know when it is going to be made available for use. Thank you.
