Kilcock Park and Ride Bye-Laws On Public Consultation

20768188_10155401168131047_3391562709963316375_nDraft parking bye-laws for Kilcock go on display on August 21st. The proposal is to regulate parking so that there is a maximum stay introduced of two hours, to encourage turnover of spaces, however there is no element of pay parking involved and spaces will remain free of charge within the town.

There is also a provision for a park & ride site within the bye-laws, this will allow users of the train or bus park all day in a secure location and without affecting local businesses. There will be a slight charge for that, the exact detail to be worked out with Irish Rail and the NTA. That park and ride is shown in the diagram below as the black spaces in bottom right corner (the proposed site is opposite LIDL).

For those interested in reading the bye-laws for themselves Kildare County Council will have them on display from August 21st or you can contact my office for a copy. They will be accepting feedback until October so plenty of time to make your views known on these.
