I was delighted to attend the official opening of Kerdiffstown Park this morning.

I am delighted to see this project come to fruition, and the remarkable transformation it has undergone to be become such a fantastic amenity for the area.

There are pitches, playground facilities, a 5km walking trail around the park, it is a great place to have on our doorstep. The transformation this site has taken is really remarkable, considering that this site used to be a landfill, a blight on the landscape.

There were fires here, illegal dumping and lots of environmental issues, so to see it transformed into such an asset to the community is really fantastic.

Well done to all involved in bringing this project through to completion.
