I’ve been in continuous contact with various providers looking at ways to roll out broadband to rural parts of Kildare. Once such provider I’ve been working with is Imagine. They recently announced that high speed broadband will be rolled out in rural parts of Ireland. This week I was delighted to announce with Brian O’Donoghue, Managing Director of Imagine, the first role out of this soon to be nationwide service will begin in the Naas area. This is the cumulative efforts of hard work over many months which will bring high speed internet to many in Kildare North. High speed internet is a necessity for businesses, education, and social output. Of the entire country, I am happy to announce they have chosen the Naas area as the first place to launch this new service.

It is very pleasing that Imagine have decided to work with me in launching this project in Kildare North before rolling it out nationwide. People in Ardclough, Kilteel, Rathmore, Eadestown and else were will be able to avail of this high speed fibre broadband. Imagines’ new Fibre Connect service will connect residents to the nearest fibre point using the latest high speed wireless technology deliver fast speeds of up to between 30 Mb-100Mb depending on your location.

Better internet services are something I have campaigned for on many occasions. As a county it is a service which has not yet been fully developed despite massive advancements in technology and many business which a strong internet connection is vital for. I will continue to work with Imagine and other providers to see Kildare North grow its broadband connective to the levels people expect and need in 2015.

As this is the first role by Imagine that I have secured placed are limited. If people are interested they can call 1890 929 300 or text ‘imagine’ and there details to 50015. Download a map of the areas covered here.
