I can confirm extra Gardaí will be assigned to Monread Park, Naas over the Halloween period. Monread Park and the surrounding area have been added to the list of ‘hot spot’ areas which will see increase patrols over the bank holiday weekend. I have been engaging with local Garda to represent residents who have witnessed antisocial behaviour in the park over recent weeks.

Residents will also be pleased to know that two new Garda will be tasked with patrolling the Monread area. These new Garda will come from new recruits assigned to the Kildare division. They will also be long term appointments, not just for Halloween.

I hope that the increased Garda presence ensures an enjoyable Halloween for the community in Monread and I will be in dialogue with them as the weekend progresses.
