Good news as additional funding for the Greenway Canal Project from Sallins to Naas has been announced by the NTA. This is in addition to funding that the Naas Municipal District Council have already pledged for the project. I have invited a joint delegation of the Naas Greenway Group and Sallins Community Council to appear before the council and discuss the next steps on this exciting project. Motion on Dublin-Sallins-Naas “Greenway”
At the most recent meeting of the Naas Municipal Council, I tabled a motion to develop a “Greenway” track along the canal bank from Dublin out to Sallins and on into Naas town. The motion called on the council to engage with other stakeholders including Waterways Ireland and South Dublin County Council who will also have a major role to play in the project.
