Brilliant. James Lawless is on the ball here and being active in the renewal process… we all talk about “getting FF back” etc. and we all use the buzz words in the meetings.
James here has clearly layed out a strategy, a plan and a focus that we can implement in our own units and organisations.
Renewal is not just a word that gets thrown around the meetings, you have to get out there and make it happen… this sort of action plan will help us make that jump.

Well we are a week on Jim. Looks like we won’t even make September. Italian bonds tanked as did their Bourse. Shares suspended briefly with one standout bank remaining suspended. Can you guess which one?

Jim,

Bit of a non deal I’m afraid for Ireland. Ireland not in the picture here it was all about Greece and Italy. We are still stuck in a framework that will work against Irish interests.

Let me put my money where my mouth is and bet you a tenner we will be back here in mid September when everyone realises a) Greece is boned and b) Italy cant sell bonds (mid Sep they have auctions and redemptions for billions). I’ll even tell you the name of the bank which will sink the ship. Unicredit.

I’ve said it before Jim. History will be a lot kinder to Brian.

ECB is a four lettter word in my house. Remember these lads will put interest rates up next month. QE is a solution of sorts alright and if they are running the show pretty much the only bullet left in the gun.

I’m gonna say a horrible thing now, stagflation.
