Something for the weekend

For those that like to keep up with my musings (and I know you’re a select few, kudos!) just a note to say I’ve recently started contributing over at IrishElection.com…

Sometimes I’ll cross post, sometimes I won’t depends on the topic. This weekend, it’s a bit of fun, Halloween scare the (big) kids kind of stuff, check out my latest post here – http://www.irishelection.com/2009/11/could-fianna-fail-be-the-john-and-edward-of-irish-politics/

    You DarK Horse,
And I thought those Irish election contributors were all radical subversive lefties….
When I got to the end of that piece i wondered… is that one of our own?

Got to be in to win – if you’re not at the party you don’t get to play! No harm to level the playing field – and put the brakes on some those subversives! Thanks for your comments on both fora. I’ll be voting early and often and by proxy and by phone in all cases!!!

That piece actually started life being somewhat more serious but it was also quite partisan so I pared it back and added some colour! What I like (in both cases) is the way the entire establishment can be pitted against an entity and yet the people have the temerity to go out and rail against them every time. Ignoring what their “betters” tell them. Remember how Madam was so enraged, along with the rest of the fourth estate, in the immediate post 2007 GE aftermath. They just couldn’t wait to get their hands on Mahon and get the ball rolling again inflicting maximum damage. Very easy get heated so I decided it was a better story told tongue in cheek!

    Where do I resign?
